Hello, my name is Kearalyn Oosthuizen, and I am excited to be working at Mind & Soul Counseling Services as a Licensed Associate Counselor. With a passion for helping others and a strong belief in the power of self-determination, personal growth and creativity, I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for my clients to explore their unique experiences and values.
I have hands-on experience working with clients who are struggling with issues related to anxiety, depression, meaning and purpose, serious mental illness (SMI), and trauma. My primary approach is to utilize coveted techniques such as EMDR, CBT and expressive art therapy with traditional psychotherapy through a humanistic lens.
I am a compassionate and empathetic listener and believe that building a trusting and non- judgmental relationship with my clients is the foundation of effective therapy. I am committed to helping individuals find their own path towards self-discovery and personal growth through the gift of therapy.
